Creston officials are moving forward with a sidewalk project that will begin this spring in the village.
The work will take place on Main Street along with Transit Street. The project will help students get to the Creston Grade School when the weather turns warmer.
The board took no action on the alcoholic beverage ordinance for a new cafe and bar which would include video gaming that may open in the village at the corner of Route 38 and Main Street.
Cyndi Jensen, who currently operates CJ's Gaming in DeKalb, hopes to open the business in Creston. She will have to meet all codes for inside and outside the building before receiving a liquor license for the business.
Creston officials took no action on the NICOR franchise agreement since no representative from the company was at the meeting. The issue was tabled until March.
The village is looking at replacing 3 to 4 sewer covers which leak. The work will be done this spring.
