2 local lawmakers along with a Republican candidate for Governor plan to speak in Rochelle this morning at the First Baptist Church at 810 Wolf Court. The legislative Sunday begins at 10:30.
State Representative Tom Demmer and State Senator Tim Bivins will talk about issues in both the House and Senate in Springfield.
State Representative Jeanne Ives of Wheaton will also be part of the program. She is challenging current Governor Bruce Rauner in the upcoming primary election on the Republican ballot.
Rev. Bob Vanden Bosch, a christian lobbyist, will also be part of the program at 9:30 as he talks about a variety of legislative issues.
A complementary luncheon will be served in the church gym following the legislative Sunday schedule.
The Rochelle community is invited to attend.
