One of the survivors of the pipeline blast in Lee County is facing a long road to recovery.
Michael Koster's family yesterday said that he underwent a major skin graph surgery in Rockford on Saturday. Koster is one of two people to survive the explosion last week. Two other people died.
Koster's sister says doctors say they still have areas of burned skin that they have yet to treat. No one is saying how long Koster, who is from Sterling, is expected to be in the hospital.
