Kobota UTV
No one suffered any injuries yesterday afternoon after fire destroyed a Kobota UTV at Skare Park in rural Rochelle.
The Flagg-Rochelle Community Park District was doing a controlled burn at the park near the driving range when the fire started. The Kobota UTV was not near the area that was being burned, but was being used to move around the park. The flames started around the engine area.
Park District Executive Director Roger Bunger said that they bought the UTV in 2012 and was valued at around $5,000. It was being used to pick up golf balls at the driving range.
