Rochelle police are investigating a report of shots being fire in the 300 block of South Main Street early this morning.
A call came in a short time after 12:30 about the incident. Several residents in the area told police they heard a number of shots being fired, but saw no one in the area.
Officers checked the area but found no indication of any shots being fired. They plan to check the neighborhood again in day light.
Rochelle Community Hospital has reported no injuries from a gun shot wound today.
