A Rochelle man was arrested last night following an altercation with local police.
25-year old Jacob Quade was arrested on the charge of aggravated battery and resisting a police officer.
The arrest came about when police investigated a domestic battery incident in the 200 block of North 9th Street involving the Rochelle man and a woman.
Police say that Quade was intoxicated and allegedly struck 1 of the officers on the scene in the face. No one needed any medical treatment from the confrontation.
Quade remains in the Ogle County jail with no bond set on the felony offense. He will appear before a judge later today in Oregon when the figure will be established.
