Bond set for Rochelle man after damaging a car

Bond has been set at $10,000 for a Rochelle man after he allegedly damaged a car last week in the Hub City.

28-year old Michael Brandt has been charged with the felony offense of criminal damage to a vehicle.

The incident took place last Thursday in the 200 block of North Main Street. Brandt allegedly took a 2 X 8 board and dented and scratched the car. He also allegedly broke off the GPS antenna.

He was charged with the felony offense due to the cost damage to the vehicle.

Brandt remains in the Ogle County jail in lieu of the $10,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear before a judge today for a hearing.
