Celebrate the holidays in Byron during the 21st annual Miracle on 2nd Street, presented by Union Bar and Grill, on Friday, December 1. Elf on the Shelf is the theme for this year’s festive local tradition that helps ignite the magical feeling of Christmas and kicks off the shopping season. The sights and sounds of the holiday season continue on 2nd Street from 6-8:30 PM.
The schedule of events takes place from 6:00 – 8:30 PM. Free Hay Rides sponsored by Byron Bank, Byron Motosports Park, and By-Y Badgers 4H Club. Passenger loading will be on 2nd Street between Walnut and Washington (in front of Municipal Building) and on 2nd St. and Union St. The tree lighting will take place in Byron Bank’s grass lot at 7 PM sponsored by Exelon Generation.
Other highlights of the evening include a Live Nativity by Cornerstone Family Church Byron, Festival of Trees at the Byron Museum of History, 110 N. Union St., Frosty Land is sponsored by Swedish American, a Division of UW Health, in City Hall Parking Lot. Visits with Santa is sponsored by Stillman Bank in the City Hall Community Room. The Annual Mistletoe Market in the Byron Museum (American Legion Hall).
The event also features business and community group treats, fundraisers and entertainment by Byron Civic Theatre, Girl Scouts, Byron High School Madrigal Singers and much more!
