Parking restrictions on School Avenue along with several purchases for RMU tops the discussion tonight for city officials in Rochelle. The council meeting begins at 7 at City Hall.
The city is looking at no parking on School Avenue between 7:30am and 4:30pm during school days from the north Second Street center line east for 150 feet. This would allow school buses to make a safer right turn off North Second Street onto School Avenue.
The council will consider several projects involving RMU. They Include:
**The purchase of equipment for feeder 32 at a cost of $105,970. The equipment
will reduce the outage time for the feeders
**Cooper underground cable with a price tage of just under $35,600
**A utility easement on Steward Road on property owned by Lance Kuykendall at a
cost of $6,300.
**2 Edison Electric Institute master agreements
This will also be the first council meeting for City Manager Jeff Fiegenschuh.
Tonight's meeting is open to the public.
