Ogle County Sheriff's Police arrested a Rockford man yesterday afternoon following a vehicle chase which ended up near that city.
Deputies attempted to stop a 1996 Dodge Ram driven by 30-year old Craig Wenzel for a traffic violation in the 7,000 block of North Illinois 251.
The vehicle was finally stopped near the intersection of Blackhawk Road and 20th Street with the assistance from Illinois State Police and the Winnebago County Sheriff's Department.
Wenzel was arrested on the charge of aggravated fleeing elude police along with speeding and the use of his telephone while driving.
He was also ticketed for driving on a revoked license and a Winnebago County warrant for the same offense.
Wenzel will appear in court on the charges at a later date.
