20th Annual Lincoln Highway Heritage Festival begins on Friday in Rochelle (Updated)

1 of the top summer festivals in the area begins this evening and runs through Sunday in Rochelle.

The 20th Annual Lincoln Highway Heritage Festival will take place in the downtown area for residents to enjoy.

Events scheduled for tomorrow include the food court from 4 until 10 and the beer garden from 5 until 10.

The main stage will have the Little Miss Peanut Contest starting at 6 followed a performance by the Vodka Boys from 8 until 10.

The 50/50 raffle also begins this evening along with the carnival rides for the kids.

Lincoln Highway Heritage Festival President Lisa Chrisco said there are a few changes for the downtown area this year. Handicap parking will be located behind Miller Insurance while the Arts and Craft along with business booths will be located near the fire station.

The beer garden will also be located closer to the stage so people can enjoy the entertainment.

Saturday's activities include the Arts and Craft Show and business booths along with the Hub City Cruisers Car Show from 8 until 3.

The main stage entertainment begins at 8 in the morning. There will also be an ice cream social from noon until 3 at the Flagg Township Museum and a Rochelle Moose Haunted Maze from 4 until 8. Kids can also go through the maze the next day.

Sunday's schedule includes the Lincoln Highway Heritage Festival parade which begins at 1 with over 75 entries.
