An Ogle County judge set bond at $100,000 yesterday for a Rochelle man following an altercation yesterday morning.
55-year old Nestor Cordero has been charged with the felony offense of aggravated domestic battery.
The female victim was allegedly struck in the head with a hammer. She suffered non-life threatening injuries.
The fight took place in the 71 hundred block of Sunflower Lane in rural Rochelle a short time before 12:30 yesterday morning.
Cordero was also treated for some cuts at Rochelle Community Hospital.
He is scheduled to appear in Ogle County court today for a hearing. Cordero remains in jail in lieu of the $100,000 bond.
