A Polo man pled not guilty Friday in Ogle County court after being charged with the Class "X" felony offense of armed robbery.
18-year old Ricky Rippy was arrested after a hold-up took place during the early morning hours of May 21st at Casey's General Store in Polo.
Taken from the business was an undisclosed amount of money along with some energy drinks and cigarettes. No one suffered any injuries inside the business as a handgun was displayed during the robbery.
In court yesterday, a public defender was appointed for Rippy. He is scheduled to return to court on July 19th for a preliminary hearing.
Rippy is out of jail after posting 10 percent of a $25,000 bond.
