A jury trial has been set for July 18th for a Rochelle man in connection with a stabbing incident that took place last month in the Hub City.
30-year old Scott Cook has been charged with the Class 3 felony of aggravated battery to cause great bodily harm and 3 counts of aggravated battery with the use of a deadly weapon.
The fight occurred during the night of April 7th in the 800 block of Lincoln Highway. A 24-year old man was stabbed in the right side of the head and left shoulder with a kitchen knife. He received treatment at Rochelle Community Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
A second person in the apartment also received a cut on his neck from the kitchen knife. He refused medical treatment at the scene.
Police say that Cook was intoxicated when the altercation took place.
Cook returns to court for a final pre-trial conference on July 10th prior to the jury trial on July 18th in Ogle County court.
He remains in jail in lieu of a $100,000 bond.
