An Ogle County judge has set bond at $500,000 for a Rochelle man following a stabbing incident Friday evening at an apartment in the Hub City.
30-year old Scott Cook was arrested on 2 counts of aggravated battery. He was also wanted on an Ogle County warrant for failure to appear in court on the charge of larceny.
The altercation took place a short time before 7:30 in the 800 block of Lincoln Highway. A 24-year old man was stabbed in the right side of the head and left shoulder with a kitchen knife.
He was taken by ambulance to Rochelle Community Hospital for treatment of his non-life threatening injuries.
A second person in the apartment also received a cut on his neck from the kitchen knife. He refused medical treatment at the scene.
Police say that Cook was intoxicated when the fight took place. He was transported by ambulance to Rochelle Community Hospital for treatment prior to being taken to the Ogle County jail.
He remains in jail in lieu of the $500,000 bond today and will appear before a judge in Oregon today for a hearing.
