Rochelle woman back in court following fatal crash

A Rochelle woman was back in Ogle County court yesterday for a pre-trial conference on the Class 4 felony offense of aggravated reckless driving.

20-year old Emily Janke has been indicted by a grand jury.

The accident took place in the summer of 2015 that left a college student dead from Kings. 19-year old Anna Speed suffered fatal injuries from the crash.

The accident took place the night of June 10th of 2015 northeast of Creston in the 18,000 block of East Gillis Road. The jeep Jahnke was driving left the road and struck a utility pole.

Jahnke along with a front passenger in the vehicle suffered injuries.

In court yesterday, the pre-trial conference was continued until May 19th at 2pm in Oregon. No trial date has been set in the case at this time.

Jahnke is out of jail after posting 10 percent of a $10,000 bond.

No other charges have been filed at this time by Ogle County officials in the case.
