Rochelle's stolen truck found in Aurora

A 2007 Toyota pick-up truck stolen from Rochelle last week has been found in Aurora.

The truck was stolen during the night of March 21st in the 500 block of North 12th Street. The owner said that the vehicle was unlocked and he believes the keys were left inside the truck.

Rochelle Police Chief Eric Higby said that the truck was brought back to the city for processing. No arrest has been made at this time.

Rochelle police also investigated 2 other vehicle thefts last week.

A 2009 Chevy was stolen on March 20th in the 300 block of Woolf Court. The owner told police he had lost the spare key to the vehicle recently.

The car was later located the same day in Rochelle. No arrest has been made.

The third vehicle theft took place last Friday night in the 200 block of Lincoln Highway. The 1999 Chevy Suburban was taken from the downtown area as it was left unlocked and the keys inside the vehicle.

The car was located early Saturday morning in Aurora with 3 juveniles inside the vehicle. 1 of the teens lived in Rochelle and another in Creston.
