One person was injured after he was struck by a semi early Friday morning in Steward. The Lee County Sheriff's Office reports that 60 year old Efrain Alicea of Chicago was walking in the middle of the northbound lane when he was struck by the truck, and was taken to a Rockford hospital after the incident. Authorities say the accident occurred at the intersection of Hayes and Steward Roads around 4 am Friday.
