A man is dead and a woman hospitalized in serious condition after a stabbing during a domestic dispute in Byron Thursday afternoon. According to published reports, the man fled the scene and then died after being thrown from a car in a single vehicle accident on Route 26 in Stephenson County. The Ogle County Sheriff's Office has only said that the woman was taken to a Rockford Hospital and was in serious condition earlier today, and the man was taken to a Freeport hospital and then flown to a hospital in Rockford. The Sheriff's Office reports the incident took place at 5:15 Thursday afternoon at 8434 Winnebago Lane in rural Byron.
