A Dixon High School senior has been arrested after he brought 3 guns to school yesterday morning. No one suffered any injuries as students and staff were never in any danger said Dixon Police Chief Danny Langloss.
The teen faces 5 counts of unlawful use of a weapon along with unlawful possession of a gun on school property.
School officials received word that the student was armed with a handgun in a car outside the school. The teen had left the area when police arrived on the scene. He was arrested a short time later at his home and the guns were seized.
Classes continued at Dixon High School yesterday as parents learned about the incident on an automatic message sent to them later in the afternoon.
