Once again, Donald Trump is pointing to gun violence in Chicago as a talking point as he pledges to end the killings happening in large cities. Speaking to a conservative political gathering in Maryland, Trump referred to the seven gun deaths in Chicago Wednesday as he claimed to be working with the Justice Department to begin reducing violent crime.
Thursday, Trump Tweeted a similar message, prompting Chicago Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson to point out that the city's requests for federal help have not been answered.
