Rochelle and Byron High Schools will be represented this Friday and Saturday at the State Speech Tournament in Peoria.
The event will take place at the Peoria Civic Center.
RTHS qualified 2 individuals Saturday at the Huntley Sectional. Junior Nephy Valle placed second in Special Occasion Speaking while senior Lexy LeMar was 3rd in Informative Speaking.
Byron High School will be represented by junior Kathleen Rock who finished in second place in Original Oratory.
Cary Grove High School won the team competition at the Huntley Sectional with 46 points. DeKalb High School finished in 5th place.
