Rochelle woman back in court following 2015 fatal crash

A jury trial date has yet to be set for a Rochelle woman arrested on the Class 4 felony offense of aggravated reckless driving.

20-year old Emily Jahnke has been indicted by a grand jury.

The arrest came about following an accident in the summer of 2015 that killed a college student from Kings. 19-year old Anna Speed suffered fatal injuries from the crash.

The accident took place the night of June 10th of 2015 northeast of Creston in the 18,000 block of East Gillis Road. The jeep Jahnke was driving left the road and struck a utility pole.

Jahnke along with a front passenger in the vehicle suffered injuries.

In court yesterday, she was given a pre-trial conference date of March 10th in Oregon. Jahnke is out of jail after posting 10 percent of a $10,000 bond.

No other charges have been filed at this time by Ogle County officials in the case.
