Second Rockford man indicted following Hillcrest home invasion and shooting

A second Rockford man has been indicted by an Ogle County grand jury involving a home invasion and shooting that took place last month in Hillcrest.

23-year old Eddie Blaylock has been charged with 3 counts of home invasion, aggravated battery, and 3 counts of armed robbery.

21-year old Rayvon Motton of Rockford was also indicted this week by the grand jury. Ogle County authorities are still looking for 18-year old Casimir, aka "Loonie", Williams of Rockford as a warrant has been issued for his arrest on the charge of home invasion.

The altercation took place the night of January 24th in the 200 block of Jeffrey Avenue in Hillcrest. The homeowner was shot in the stomach area by a handgun. He was treated for his injury at a Rockford hospital.

Blaylock returns to Ogle County court next Wednesday for a hearing. Both he and Motton remain in jail in lieu of $500,000 bonds.

The motive behind the home invasion and shooting has not been released at this time by Ogle County officials.
