Additional charges have been filed against 2 Rockford men following a home invasion and shooting incident last month in Hillcrest.
21-year old Rayvon Motton and 23-year old Eddie Blaylock have both been charged with 3 counts of home invasion, aggravated battery, and 2 counts of armed robbery.
They had originally been charged with the Class "X" felony offense of home invasion.
The altercation took place on the night of January 24th in the 200 block of Jeffrey Avenue in Hillcrest. The homeowner was shot in the stomach area by a handgun. He received treatment at a Rockford hospital.
The motive behind the home invasion and shooting has not bee released at this time by Ogle County officials.
In court yesterday, bond remains at $500,000 for both Motton and Blaylock. Motton returns to court for a preliminary hearing next Wednesday while Blaylock has the same court proceeding on February 15th. Both men will plead guilty or innocent to the charges at that time.
They remain in jail in lieu of bond.
Ogle County Sheriff's Police continue to look for a 3rd suspect in the case. A warrant has been issued for the arrest of 18-year old Casimir, aka "Loonie", Williams of Rockford for the Class "X" felony offense of home invasion. The teen remains at large.
