Illinois' Attorney General is suing the nation's largest student loan company for putting students into debt the company knew they couldn't repay.
Lisa Madigan's office filed the suit yesterday against Navient, which used to be part of Sallie May. Madigan is alleging deceptive practices. Navient says the lawsuit is politically motivated.
