2 men arrested following armed robbery at CherryVale Mall

2 Chicago-area men have been arrested following an armed robbery on Friday at a computer business in CherryVale Mall.

21-year old Narcellus Taylor of Chicago and 23-year old Mario Anderson of Waukegan have been charged with robbery.

Police say that 4 men robbed the Simply Mac store at gunpoint last Friday morning. They wore ski masks and stole around $80,000 worth of electronic items that included computers and iPhones.

A witness at CherryVale Mall noticed the men loading their Jeep Cherokee with the stolen items. The vehicle was located later in the day by Illinois State Police in Carpentersville.

The chase resulted in speeds that reached 100 miles per hour before the SUV was stopped in the middle lane of I-90.

Taylor and Anderson were taken into custody at that time. The where-abouts of the other 2 men is unknown.

The case remains under investigation by the FBI, Illinois State Police along with Cherry Valley Police.

Taylor and Anderson appeared in federal court on Friday on the robbery charge.

No one suffered any injuries during the holdup. Police say that the incident could be part of a
bigger operation. A Simply Mac store in Valparaiso, Indiana was robbed at gunpoint twice last month.

Police found over 80 electronic products in the car Taylor and Anderson were traveling in. 4 handguns were also found in the vehicle.
