An 1886 mansion caught on fire yesterday in Sycamore which is currently being used for office space.
The blaze took place at 307 North Main Street.
Most of the fire damage occurred in the back of the home and inside after a van caught on fire in the rear carport.
When firemen arrived on the scene, there was flames and heavy smoke coming from the mansion.
There were no reports of any injuries. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Numerous fire departments in the area were called to the scene. The Rochelle Fire Department assisted at the Sycamore Fire Station.
