Dixon police arrest 3 men in multiple armed robberies

Police in Dixon think they've solved a number of robberies across the state.

Officers arrested three Kankakee men after an armed robbery at a U.S. Cellular store.

Once police had the suspects, they learned the three are wanted for a similar crime in Rock Falls.

Taken into custody were 23-year old David Kendrick, 20-year old Eddie Clark, and 24-year old Michael Lane-Calhoun. All 3 have been charged with armed robbery, aggravated robbery, and unlawful restraint.
Police say that the 3 men are suspects in other robberies across northern Illinois.

In each of the hold-ups, a handgun was used and the employees were tied up. Money and merchandise were stolen from the businesses.

Rockford police believe that the men may have also been involved in robberies over the past several weeks.
Warrants have been issued for 2 other men who may be involved with the robberies.
