Rochelle residents have 2 more days to file their petitions for the next city election.
Names on the ballot so far are Councilman Dan McDermott, John Bearrows, John Grubem, and Kathryn Shaw-Dickey.
Rochelle has 3 council members whose 4 year term comes to an end next April. The city officials are Dave Eckhardt, Kathy Hollonbeck, and McDermott.
Petitions and supporting documents can be picked up in the Rochelle City Clerk's office.
The petitions can be filed today and on Monday until 5pm.
The consolidated election will be held on April 4th of 2017. If necessary, a consolidated primary election will take place in Rochelle on February 28th of next year.
The primary would be held if Rochelle has 13 or more candidates running for the 3 council positions.
