36-year old Eduardo Vega of Rochelle was back in Ogle County court yesterday after being arrested on the felony offense of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child.
The local man was wanted for 3 weeks by area authorities before he turned himself in on the warrant.
Rochelle police received word of the alleged incident on September 9th. The victim is under the age of 13 years old.
In court yesterday, Vega waived his preliminary hearing. He returns before a judge tomorrow in Oregon for a status hearing in the case.
Vega is out of jail following the posting of 10 percent or $10,000 of the $100,000 bond.
