A judge is denying bail to a 41-year-old Rockford man accused of killing a two-year-old, dismembering his body and dumping the remains in a Chicago park lagoon two years ago.
During Wednesday's hearing, prosecutors say Kamel Harris admitted to friends that he snapped when Kyrian Knox wouldn't stop crying because of an allergic reaction to milk.
Prosecutors say Harris used barbell weights in plastic bags to keep the body parts from coming to the surface of the Garfield Park lagoon, then had family members threaten possible witnesses.
