A possible rate increase in electric, water, and sanitary sewer services, parking on Brookside Drive, and the purchase of a utility truck for RMU tops the agenda tonight for city officials in Rochelle.
The council meeting begins at 7.
The proposal for the utility rate hike would be a small amount for the electric bill. The water and sewer costs would be around 10 percent per month.
The council will discuss the issue this evening involving the cost service studies that were completed. No final decisions will be made.
The proposal for Brookside Drive would prohibit parking on the entire west side of the street. There would also be no parking on the east side for 100 feet north of Route 38.
The utility truck for the RMU electric division would cost just over $41,000.
The Rochelle City Council will also meet as a committee of the whole at 5:30 to talk about the new fiscal year budget. No final decisions will be made on the numbers.
