Following an executive session last night, The Rochelle elementary board approved pay raises for the administrators along with non-certified personnel.
Each administrator will see a pay increase of $2,000 a year. The proposal did not include Superintendent Todd Prusator as his contract was approved by the board at an earlier meeting.
The non-certified employees will receive a pay raise of 40 cents per hour.
Negotiations continue on the teacher's contract. The 4-year agreement ended on June 30th.
The board talked about the consolidation study. RTHS officials informed the district last month that they were not interested in merging at this time.
What is the next step for the Rochelle elementary district? Superintendent Todd Prusator said that the salary difference between the 2 districts is a concern. He plans to talk with the staff about this issue. He did say there is state money available if a merger took place.
The board named John Gonzales as the 8th grade girls basketball coach for this season. They also reappointed Ken Esgar, Pat Casey, and Diane Kenney to the David Crawford Foundation Board of Directors for 2 year terms.
