The Mississippi River is now officially over flood stage in Rock Island. Forecasters say the river is still rising. The river topped 15 feet last night.
The National Weather Service says the river is expected to continue to swell until it hits just under 17 feet. That's about one foot short of a "major" flood. Forecasters expect the river to crest Sunday.
