Rochelle police received word of 5 more car burglaries reported to them yesterday in the Hub City. In all of the cases, the vehicle was left unlocked.
A number of items were stolen from the cars. They include a cell phone, 3 phone chargers, and money.
The break-ins took place in the 1,000 block of North 3rd Street, 900 block of Woolf Court, 1,000 block of North Main Street, along with the 800 and 900 blocks of North 8th Street.
No arrest has been made at this time.
Rochelle police are asking local residents to lock their cars when they are left unattended. There have been nearyly a dozen vehicle burglaries reported this week.
