The 911 operations in Ogle, DeKalb, Boone, and Stephenson counties have fully been restored.
Officials say that the system is fully operational.
Frontier had a problem with their software or hardware at around 7 Tuesday evening in their DeKalb system that caused the problem this week.
Area residents were first receiving a busy signal when they used 911. The calls were then being routed to the corresponding public safety answering points in the 4 counties. The 911 system at that time could not provide the caller's name or address.
Once again, the 911 operations are back to normal for the area.
