A warrant has been issued for the arrest of 29-year old Kellen Odems of Rockford in the fatal hit and run accident that took place last Friday evening.
67-year old Richard Walker was killed after he was struck in his wheelchair by a car in the 21 hundred block of Kishwaukee Avenue in Rockford. Police have charged Odems on the warrant for aggravated leaving the scene of an accident involving death.
Police say that Walker was dragged for more than a half mile before he fell from the car near New Milford Avenue. The driver of the car did not stop.
Bond has been set at $150,000 for the warrant arrest involving Odems who remains at-large for the present time.
