Illinois State Police report that a Bureau County woman has been found dead in a shallow grave at a home in Standard.
62-year old Deborah Dewey of Ladd was last seen August 22nd in Spring Valley. Her vehicle was found a week later at a truck stop on Route 47, just north of I-80.
State police say that they exhumed the body from the shallow grave in the yard at the residence in Standard. An autopsy was performed on the body in Bloomington and the dental records confirmed the body was that of Dewey.
The homicide investigation has started in the case. There is no word at this time that an arrest has been made.
