Emergency personnel responded to a fire yesterday morning at a Rochelle industry.
The blaze was noticed at around 6:45 at LaGrou Distribution at 1025 South Main Street.
Rochelle Fire Chief Dave Sawlsville says that the flames began in the ceiling area of the plant which may have been caused by an electrical problem with a light fixture.
Some of the sparks then landed on several rolls of paper material that was stacked up about 12 feet high near the light.
There were around 20 employees at the plant when the fire began. No one suffered any injuries.
Chief Sawlsville said that the sprinkler system was activiated in the plant when the fire began.
Cost damage is estimated at around $10,000.
Emergency personnel had originally gone to Rochelle Foods on South Main Street yesterday morning when the fire was called in. They learned a short time later that the flames were at LaGrou Distribution.
