Stolen car found in Chicago involing Sycamore murder case

DeKalb County authorities have announced that a stolen car has been recovered in Chicago in connection with the murder of 2 Sycamore residents on August 15th.

85-year old Patricia Wilson and her son, 64-year old Robert Wilson, were found dead in their home. Police say that a blunt object was used to kill both of them.

Patricia Wilson's car, a white 2010 Chevy Impala, was stolen from the home. It was found by Chicago Police on Wednesday in the general area of the Lincoln Park Zoo. The car may have been at that location for several days.

The car was found early in the morning and unoccupied. The vehicle was under surveillance until it was returned to DeKalb County late on Wednesday.

Items of potential evidence were recovered from the car and were delivered to the state crime lab. The investigation continues in the homicide.

As a result of a private donation, DeKab County Crime Stoppers is now offering a cash reward of up to $25,000 for information that leads to an arrest and conviction in this murder case.
