Illinois' community colleges aren't making the grade nationally. Financial site WalletHub has ranked Illinois in the bottom half of its list of "States with the Best and Worst Community College Systems."
Illinois took 40th out of 47 states studied, based on 12 metrics.
Among individual schools, Rend Lake College in Ina took seventh.
