City officials in Rochelle are looking at improving their infrastructure this year in hopes of attracting new businesses in the industrial park area.
During yesterday's program "Let The People Know", Mayor Chet Olson talked about the expansion of the city railroad in the near future. The work would be done on the south side of the Hub City on the East or West side of Steward Raod.
The city is looking for grant money to expand the railroad.
Olson also talked about additional storage space for the rail cars that is expected to be needed in the near future. The project would also include the expansion of the water and sewer systems involving RMU.
"Let The People Know" is heard on Wednesday afternoon at 12:30 on Newstalk 1060 and rebroadcast Saturday morning at 6 on Newstalk 1060 and Sunday morning at 6 on "The Coyote".
