Rochelle police continue to investigate an alleged armed robbery that took place Sunday evening in the downtown area. No one suffered any injuries.
The victim, a woman, informed police that she was robbed at gunpoint at the DeLos and Ogle Hotel and Apartment on North Main Street by 2 male juveniles. A handgun was apparently used in the hold-up.
The 2 suspects, 1 white while the other was black, allegedly stole money from the purse of the woman. They then left the hotel on foot.
Police Chief Eric Higby said they are waiting for video from the cameras at the hotel to see what went on during the alleged armed robbery.
Individuals at the hotel told police they did not see anyone match the description of the 2 male subjects. No arrest has been made at this time.
