In June 2015, the RTHS Interact Club raised $1,000 to purchase a ShelterBox through ShelterBox.org in the hopes of helping a family survive somewhere in the world.
On January 6, 2016 the ShelterBox was deployed to help a family in Korea affected by devastating flooding. In June 22 the area was finally returned to a livable state.
According to Interact Advisor Alison Mercer-Curtis, she received confirmation that the ShelterBox provided by the Interact Club provided shelter and food for a family for 6 months.
ShelterBox provides emergency shelter and vital supplies to support communities around the world overwhelmed by disaster and humanitarian crisis.
