A gas leak yesterday on North 8th Street and Tilton Park Lane kept the Rochelle Fire Department on the scene for about 4 hours. A contractor was working in the area and noticed that an old gas line was leaking. Nicor fixed the leak. The road was closed off to traffic for about 4 hours yesterday while repairs were made.
