One person was injured following a two vehicle crash at 4002 North Town Hall Road Sunday afternoon at 3:16. The Ogle County Sheriff’s Office and Mt Morris Fire Department were dispatched to the scene where a vehicle driven by 18 year old Ben Libman of Oregon was exiting a private drive when he pulled into the path of a northbound passenger car driven by 51 year old Richard Martin of Roscoe. As a result of the crash Libman’s vehicle overturned but he and his passenger were not injured. Martin was extricated from his vehicle by firefighters and transported by ambulance to a Rockford Hospital with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries. Libman was cited for Failure to Yield when exiting a private drive.
The Ogle County Sheriff's Office was called to a car versus deer accident Sunday afternoon at 3:49 at 7925 North Mt. Morris Road. A vehicle driven by 16 year old Cody Snyder of Forreston was traveling south on Mt. Morris Road when he swerved to avoid striking a deer and lost control of his vehicle on the loose gravel. He skidded off the roadway and overturned. Snyder was transported by ambulance to a Rockford Hospital with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries. The Leaf River Fire District assisted with the accident.
