The infrastructure project for Gredco this year involves the expansion of the Rochelle city owned railroad.
Gredco Director Jason Anderson talked about the interchange work for the railroad during yesterday's program "Let The People Know". The project started a couple of weeks ago at Caron and Center Roads. Anderson said that the city will see an additional 300 rail cars a day when the track is completed.
With the expansion being done, a new business will also be opening this summer in Rochelle. Anderson said that a sand business will be located on the north side of I-88. They will be a trans loading facility and have around 5 employees when they begin operations.
Anderson said that the company will have around 5 employees when they open.
