Park officials in Rochelle took no action last night on the redevelopment agreement dealing with the restaurant at the Fairways Golf Course.
Last week, city officials approved the deal with John Scanlon who also has restaurants in Davis Junction, New Milford, and Rockford. Renovation work will exceed over $700,000 for the building.
Park board President Roger Bunger said that the board had several concerns dealing with the right of refusal in the agreement involving the city and the park district.
A park district committee will meet with city officials that includes Bunger along with John Dobbs, and BT Carmichael. They are expected to have the meeting this week, as early as Wednesday, in an attempt to reach an agreement on the proposal.
The new fiscal year budget and appropriation was approved. Expenditures total 2.8 million dollars, an increase of 2 percent from the past year.
Changes were approved in the smoke free park ordinance dealing with an increase in fines for violators along with additional tobacco products. The draft of the Rochelle Junior Tackle Football agreement was also talked about. It would be a 10-year deal with the park distirct.
The board is expected to hear a presentation in the future dealing with a program for special needs individuals.
