Federal immigration sweeps over the past six weeks have resulted in the arrests of more than 300 people in six midwest states including Illinois and Indiana. The raids were aimed at people who are undocumented and living illegally in the U.S. who were previously convicted of crimes.
The arrests more than 100 people in the Chicago area and 25 in the Indianapolis area. Their crimes ranged from drugs and fraud to domestic violence and weapons offenses.
